Parfum d’Automne is a surprising wine because it combines grape varieties that are rarely blended. This is what makes it typical and rare. This wine has a nice nose of exotic fruits, citrus, with floral notes. The finish is long and beautiful, on yellow fruits, peach and quince. The mouthfeel is fine and the wine is perfectly balanced by its acidity which gives it a good lightness. There is no heaviness. It is a powerful wine, easy to match, as comfortable with a roasted chicken as with a dessert with exotic fruits or a sheep cheese. It goes very well with a duck breast marinated in honey and apple juice with a touch of balsamic vinegar.
